Welcome to Haven of Hope, where the rolling hills of Shanks, West Virginia open up to over 100 private acres of forest, field, and fresh mountain air. Tucked away from the noise of everyday life, our retreat was created for the gatherings that nourish the soul — church retreats, youth groups, family reunions, women's and men's weekends, milestone celebrations, and the kind of long weekends that leave everyone feeling restored.
Our spacious lodge sleeps more than 50 guests across 12 private bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, with a fully-equipped kitchen ready for hearty shared meals and a generous living room — plus a large gathering area perfect for worship, devotionals, group sessions, or simply spreading out with the whole family. Step outside and the great outdoors becomes your sanctuary: enjoy friendly competition with cornhole, volleyball, quoits, Spikeball, and Connect 4, hike wooded trails across our 100+ acres, or gather around the fire pit each evening — we keep plenty of firewood on hand for the cozy conversations, s'mores, and starlit moments that often become the most treasured memories of the weekend.
