Welcome to Haven of Hope Retreat — a Christian retreat center and 9-bedroom group lodge nestled in the rolling hills of scenic Hampshire County, West Virginia. Set on more than 100 private acres of woods and open countryside, our retreat was created for the gatherings that nourish the soul: church retreats, youth group weekends, ministry team getaways, and women's and men's conferences. Here, the loudest sound you'll hear is laughter echoing across the porch, worship drifting from the gathering room, or a crackling fire under a sky full of stars. Just a couple of hours from the Washington DC metro and an easy drive from Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, Haven of Hope is a convenient retreat destination for churches across the Mid-Atlantic.

Inside, you'll find everything your ministry needs to feel right at home. As one of the few church retreat venues in West Virginia that sleeps 50+ under one roof, Haven of Hope offers nine private bedrooms and 7 bathrooms — so your whole congregation, youth group, or ministry team can stay together.

Please note: All 34 single beds shown in the sleeping arrangements are bunk beds.

The expansive living room and large gathering area give you dedicated space for worship, devotionals, small group sessions, and teaching — while the fully equipped kitchen, complete with stove, refrigerator, and cookware for feeding a crowd, makes shared meals the heart of every retreat. Stay connected with WiFi and comfortable year-round with window-unit air conditioning and central heating. And when it's time for a family reunion, milestone birthday, or celebration worth remembering, Haven of Hope welcomes those gatherings with equally open arms.

Bringing an even bigger group? Haven of Hope offers outdoor tent and RV site options right on the property, so your guests can get creative with their sleeping arrangements. We have 2 full-hookup RV sites featuring 30-amp and 50-amp electric, water, and septic connections, plus additional level spots for dry RV parking when your crew rolls in deeper. Tent campers are welcome too — pitch under the stars and wake up to birdsong and mountain air. Whether it's the youth group setting up tents or campers who simply love sleeping closer to nature, there's room — and a place — for everyone. The big house becomes the heart of the gathering, while the surrounding acreage opens up endless possibilities for your overflow crew.

Step outside, and 100+ acres of God's creation become your sanctuary. The little ones have a special spot of their own — a charming children's play area with swing sets, a sandbox, and slides where giggles ring out from morning till evening. Older kids and adults can challenge each other to a round of cornhole, volleyball, quoits, Spikeball, or Connect 4, wander the wooded trails, or gather each evening around the fire pit — we keep plenty of firewood on hand for s'mores, sing-alongs, and the kind of heart-to-heart conversations that often become the most treasured memories of the weekend. Beyond our property, Hampshire County offers no shortage of adventure, from hiking and fishing to exploring nearby Berkeley Springs, the Potomac River, and the historic charm of small-town West Virginia.
